"Finally this week, some good news on the Magic Arena economy. For The Brothers' War, if you purchase 10 packs from the store (with gold or gems) you'll receive a free Golden Pack which contains six duplicate protected rares or mythics, with at least one mythic guaranteed. What this means in practice is that, assuming you buy at least ten packs, each Brothers' War pack you buy will essentially give you 1.6 rares or mythics, which should greatly speed up set acquisition for players who don't like (or aren't good at) limited. Traditionally when there is a positive change to the Arena economy there are cuts elsewhere to keep the economy from becoming more player-friendly overall, but in this case it seems like the addition of Golden Packs is all upside for players and should actually help make it easier for constructed players to build decks. Right now Golden Packs are only offered for The Brothers' War, but hopefully if Wizards sees a positive response, they'll expand them to other sets."
